From the top of the SkyWheel you will be delighted to see the Horseshoe and American Falls, the Niagara River and many beautiful landmarks and historical sites. You will glide through the air for 8 to 12 minutes high up in the sky while marveling at the view! Visit the Ten Thousand Buddha Temple

If you are looking for an attraction that is unique then you will want to visit the Ten Thousand Buddha Temple. The temple was completed in 2002 and offers a dazzling array of stature and art. Named for the fact that it has ten thousand miniature gold Buddha’s located inside on the shelves in the walls across all levels of this magnificent structure. It is just is astounding to look at. Especially the central attraction, the huge bronze detailed statue of the Buddha. One of the other interesting statues is that of the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. One more highlight is the Grand Bell of World Peace which has only been rung once since the structure was built. Besides this, there are statues and paintings of Bodhisattvas and Arhats.

The Cham Sham temple is a functioning temple and has services conducted by monks during the day and tourist may participate. There are free guided tours available from June to October for those who wish to know more about the temple and the Buddhist community. Plenty of photo opportunities available in the courtyard with an array of carvings and statues plus a gift store with artefacts. There is Buddhist literature to read in many different languages including Chinese, English French. This temple is a one of kind peaceful calming joyful place to visit.

The Cham Shan temple is open every day from June – October 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Visit the Niagara Falls Historical Museum

The Niagara Falls Historical Museum is located on Lundys’ lane and offers a significant collection of War of 1812 artifacts, as well as historic prints of Niagara Falls. This is a place to purchase souvenirs and gifts before heading home. There is so much to learn about the war of of 1812 between the United States and Britain played an important part in shaping the look and makeup of the City of Niagara Falls. Plus other significant battles such as The Battle of Lundy’s Lane and the Battle of Chippewa.

If you like history or want to go back in time and relive some of the important events in time this is a must see for you. Black History The African Experience are show cased along with a Queen Victoria Memorial Fountain commemorating her reign of over 64 years, erected by her loyal subjects of Stamford Township.
